Mental Health Support for Young Adults in South Orange County

Your late teens and twenties are supposed to be a launch. For many young adults they feel more like a stall: anxiety that will not let up, a low mood that makes it hard to get going, plans that keep slipping. Young adults are a primary focus of our PHP and IOP curriculum. This is not a separate program. It is built into how we run our groups, around the pressures this generation is actually facing.

Our admissions team can answer your questions, verify your insurance, and help you decide whether PHP or IOP is the right level of care, usually in one call.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room. Our programs are outpatient and are not a substitute for emergency care.

Why We Focus on Young Adults

A Generation Under Unusual Pressure

Young adults have faced a particular mix of pressures: school, work, and friendships disrupted during COVID; social media and algorithm-driven content built to hold attention; rising housing and living costs; and real uncertainty about how AI will reshape work. The U.S. Surgeon General has issued advisories on both youth mental health and the effects of social media. Many of our clients are working through exactly these things.

Skills for Real Life

Groups use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build emotion regulation and distress tolerance, along with mindful attention and healthier routines with phones and screens. We also work on the practical side: procrastination, finishing what you start, and career and life-skills coaching for clients who feel stuck at the start of adult life.

A Community of Peers

Loneliness is common at this age, even with a phone full of contacts. Group therapy puts you with people who understand what you are dealing with, and we teach the skills to build that kind of connection after treatment ends. IOP runs 3 hours a day, leaving room for work or school, and our Evening Virtual IOP serves California residents from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

When a Parent Makes the First Call

Many young adults come to us because a parent reached out first, and we welcome that call. Clients 18 and older decide what is shared, and with their consent we involve families through family sessions and updates. Our admissions team can talk with you about how to raise treatment with your son or daughter, and verify their insurance in confidence.
