OCD Treatment in San Clemente, CA
Obsessive-compulsive disorder can take over hours of your day: intrusive thoughts you cannot shake, and rituals, checking, or reassurance-seeking that bring brief relief and then pull you back in. Our structured PHP and IOP programs help adults in Orange County loosen OCD’s grip with skills-based, evidence-informed care.
Our admissions team can answer your questions, verify your insurance, and help you decide whether PHP or IOP is the right level of care, usually in one call.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room. Our programs are outpatient and are not a substitute for emergency care.

How We Treat OCD

Signs OCD Needs More Than Weekly Therapy
• Intrusive, unwanted thoughts that cause intense distress
• Checking, cleaning, counting, or mental reviewing that take significant time
• Constant reassurance-seeking from others
• Avoiding places or situations that trigger obsessions
• Depression or anxiety building on top of OCD
Our Approach
Effective OCD treatment means learning to tolerate uncertainty rather than trying to eliminate it. Our program builds in structured, supported practice resisting compulsions, alongside mindfulness skills that change your relationship to intrusive thoughts. DBT distress tolerance helps clients sit with discomfort without acting on it. We treat co-occurring depression and anxiety at the same time.
PHP or IOP for OCD?
PHP (about 6 hours a day) offers daily practice and support when OCD is severely disrupting life.
IOP (3 hours a day) fits people who can maintain work or school but need more than weekly sessions. California residents may also join the Evening Virtual IOP.
Practice Is Built In
Progress with OCD comes from practice. A multi-hour day program means that practice happens with support every day, instead of alone between weekly appointments. Group settings also reduce the secrecy and shame that often surround OCD.
