Bipolar Disorder Treatment in San Clemente, CA

Living with bipolar disorder means managing more than mood swings. It means protecting sleep, routines, relationships, and work from disruption. Our PHP and IOP programs give adults with bipolar I, bipolar II, and related mood disorders the structure and skills to stay stable and rebuild after a hard episode.

Our admissions team can answer your questions, verify your insurance, and help you decide whether PHP or IOP is the right level of care, usually in one call.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room. Our programs are outpatient and are not a substitute for emergency care.

How We Treat Bipolar Disorder

When a Day Program Can Help

• Stepping down after a psychiatric hospitalization

• Recent medication changes that need close support

• Depressive episodes that have not responded to weekly therapy

• Early warning signs that stability is slipping

• Relationships, work, or school affected by recent episodes

Our Approach

Treatment focuses on what keeps people well over time: recognizing early warning signs, protecting sleep and daily rhythm, following a medication plan, and building a relapse-prevention plan with the people in your life. DBT skills help with intense emotions and impulsive urges. We coordinate closely with your psychiatrist and encourage family involvement.

Is Our Level of Care Right for You?

Our programs are outpatient. Clients should be medically stable and not in acute mania or psychosis when they begin. If a higher level of care is needed, our admissions team will help you find it.

PHP runs about 6 hours a day and IOP runs 3 hours a day, either 3 or 5 days a week.

Structure That Carries Over

Stability depends on routine. The daily rhythm of our program, with consistent hours, meals, movement, and time outdoors near the ocean, becomes a model for the routine clients keep after discharge. Aftercare planning begins in the first week.
